REMOTE SENSING AND GEOLOGICAL SERVICES - PROFILE

RS & GS is a geological consultancy formed in 1984 to provide an international, high technology remote sensing service to the mining and exploration industry. The expertise of the company covers the complete spectrum of remote sensing applications but with a strong specialisation in the area of tectonic analysis and structural and stratigraphic interpretations leading to the identification of potentially mineralised structures and mineral exploration targets. Criteria which lead to the identification and ranking of these economically significant features are often not readily recognised by the untrained eye, particularly so in eluviated, vegetated and degraded terrains.

RS & GS guarantee to extract the highest degree of detailed geological information from airphotography and satellite imagery and to apply innovative scientific processing technology to accomplish this.

The company has an involvement in the mineral exploration and mining industry which extends back almost 30 years and has been involved in remote sensing applications to geology since the advent of the earliest satellite imagery and image processors. We undertake projects requiring the acquisition, production and interpretation of space imagery, including TM, SPOT, radar and the new generation of high resolution satellite-mounted scanners currently being deployed by a number of agencies in the United States, Canada, France and India. These completely new satellite systems offer significant opportunities for high resolution image generation and remote sensing project upgrades.

RS & GS has carried out mineral exploration projects from cratonic to mine scale in many parts of the World and has undertaken studies targeting both gold and base metal models in Archaean through to Tertiary environments.
