reflux meds |
| My daughter has had reflux for at least three years. She is on Prilosec, 20 mg a day. She was also on Pepcid at bedtime. She had a fundo, pyloroplasty and g-tube (for venting only) in March of 2002. You have to remember that the reflux meds DO NOT cure the reflux but only help to keep the acid in the stomach down. Prilosec and Previcid are proton pump inhibitors, which are more effective than other meds like Zantac. Prilosec is a pretty beneign drug. It has very few side effects and kids can usually handle pretty strong doses. sue.holzapfel@cfu.net | |

| CAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHY DID THE DOCTORS PUT YOUR BABY ON THE OTHER MED, INSTEAD OF ZANTAC, BECAUSE MY SON, 15 MONTHS , IS A G-TUBE BABY , NO DIAGNOIS, AND VERY UNDER WEIGHT, HE SEEM NOT TO GAIN MORE THAN 13LBS. I NEED TO KNOW SHOULD I GO WITH SOMETHING STRONGER FOR HIS ACID REFLUX. HE ALSO HAD THE FUNDO DONE. BERNADETTE@PEPEJEANSLONDON.COM | |
