Our involvement with German Shepherds began in Sydney, when we purchased Sayonara Holley in 1975. Her sire was the legendary German import Ch Ingo vom Hafenlohrtal, National Gold Medalist. From Holley’s only litter we kept Schafheide Anastasia (Maureen), who became our first Breed Survey Class 1 animal. Thus began our involvement in Specialist GSD Showing. Some of Maureen’s most exciting achievements include twice winning the NSW Best Temperament Award. Her daughter Schafheide Britta CDX, multi-Best in Trial winner, excelled in obedience with many scores over 190, inspiring Barry to earn his judging license to the UD level. Prior to coming to Tassie in 1980, we purchased Santalina Eliza (Mosca), out of Nico di Val Del Tiepido (Imp Italy) and Peggy vom Hirtgarten (Imp Gmy).

That line continues to this day, with generations of Breed Survey Class 1, Excellent graded show and obedience animals.
