I promise not to rave about Babylon 5 (which happens to be my favourite science fiction TV series) and concentrate on the music. I have mentioned before in my reviews of Babylon 5 and Messages From Earth that while the music for the series was excellent, it was all blended together making it difficult to set to specific pieces. The Cult series fixed the problem, until they blended each part of an act into a single track.
While The Cult contained full scores of individual episodes, the TV movies for the series have begun to be released individually. First with In The Beginning and now with Thirdspace. Thirdspace continues the tradition of excellent music for a "bigger episode". With more time to work with, Franke has come up with a bigger, grander score. The use of the Theremin lends a strange, alien air to the score making it very suitable for science fiction campaigns. Again the sub-acts are part of a single track on the CD, making it hard to target them specifically. I don't know whether some CD players would allow you to access them as sub-tracks as they have to be marked as such. In any case, there is a lot of good music here. I enjoyed In The Beginning more, but the music for Thirdspace is different and better suited to roleplaying adventures.
