TRAVEL
I have traveled a fair bit
in my life. In the early days, my father was in the Air force and we moved every
three or four years. We have lived in Darwin, Adelaide, Malaysia, Toowoomba
and Brisbane. In 1995 I headed to Europe to backpack around and catch up with
some people that I had met in Australia.
I flew from Brisbane to
Sydney, Sydney to Bankok and then onto Rome. In April 1996 I had a bad motor cycle accident which left me a paraplegic. Later, in 1998, I returned to Switzerland
for 3 months to catch up my with my friends and to show them that I was doing
well. In 2003 I traveled to the USA for the World Disabled Water-ski Championships and in 2005 to Belgium for the same event. Townsville was the host of the 2007 Championships.
