Cryptanthus bahianus     C. bahianus is the first species Cryptanthus to appear in Cryptanthus Online, this picture was contributed by Charles Dills ( Cdills@fix.net ) and has ( unfortunately ) subsequently died.  Cryptanthus bahianus grows prolifically and responds well to a peaty mixture with good fertilising, C. bahianus  is suited to basket culture as it will form stolons with offsets.  C. bahianus has been recored to have at least  two different forms ( green and red ).   Cryptanthus Online - October 1997
