  2. FACT OF JESUS' SECOND COMING [top]

    1. Jesus will come again!

    2. "For the Son of Man [Jesus] is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done." (Mt 16:27); "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory." (Mt 25:31); "In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (Jn 14:2-3); "Jesus answered, `If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.'" (Jn 21:22); "This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." (Ac 1:11); "For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes." (1Cor 11:26); "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first." (1Th 4:16); "so Christ ... will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him." (Heb 9:28); "Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen." (Rev 1:7); "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." (Rev 1:8)"... `Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.'" (Rev 4:8).

(Isa 64:1-3); "See, the LORD is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done." (Rev 20:11-13).
