Ireland of Mr John Bergin and his wife Grace. The latter
departed this life on the 18th and the former on 20.12.1864.
The united ages of this couple make over 160 years (Kings
County Chronicle). The deceased Mr Bergin was an Uncle to Mr

William Hinde, a farmer near Balranald died when riding his way
home with his brother on Wednesday. They were racing their
horses and Samuel was riding a race horse "Grafton", on which
he won the Scurry at the Balranald races on Monday. Samuel's
horse hit a stationary dray left on the road, which killed the
