Spacejock Software Future Plans
This is just a quick outline of anything in the pipeline. Doesn't include planned changes to existing programs.
I recently hung out my shingle as a programmer for hire
Started converting my apps to Visual Basic 2005/2008. More details here

Billing hours tracker (In progress - see here)
|
Allows you to create multiple jobs and multiple tasks within jobs, then track the time spent on each task by clicking 'start' and 'stop' buttons. Warns you when a task is currently in progress and allows you to edit start and end times manually.
At any time you can sum the time per task and per job, and create reports which can be pasted into a word processor for client billing.
Enhancements include tracking hours for multiple team members, although I'm not planning a multi-user environment. A simple, low-cost, easy-to-use application is the goal.

Linux Software
I've tried to find the best way to get Linux versions out there, but it's not going to happen for a long, long time. It's only going to happen when I can work exactly like I do now and compile Windows, Linux and OS/X versions from the same IDE. The Mono project looks like the best chance of that happening. Meanwhile, you can install and run my programs on Linux, using Wine

Fiction
Apart from giving away most of my software, I'm also a published science fiction author:
"Fast, funny, quirky, enthralling comedy adventure; not just a genre parody but a well-made story in its own right, told with a light, deft touch. Hal's battle of wills with the uppity airlock is a special joy." Tom Holt
Check out the Hal Spacejock pages here - You can also ask to be notified as each title is released by my publisher, Fremantle Arts Centre Press
Books one, two and three are in print, and in stores now. Book four is with the publisher. Book five is now in progress.
