PSIM2 Extension Ensemble Performance

This unit provides recognition for participation in performing ensembles.  It is designed for students already enrolled in the Music Course of Study and who participate in one or more ensembles. For example,

  • A student studying solo performance who also plays in a school ensemble;
  • A student who plays in the senior concert band and sings in the senior choir might also have won by audition a place in the full orchestra, a wind quintet and/or a chamber choir;
  • A student who plays in the school orchestra might also play in a community based ensemble such as WA Youth Orchestra or WA Youth Strings.

All students should concurrently be receiving lessons on their chosen instrument or voice on either a small group or individual basis.
