If you are having problems accessing Wetland Sonnets, then this is the place to start.

You need to have Macromedia Flash Player plug-in Version 6 (or higher) installed. If you can see the "You are ready to experience Wetland Sonnets" message above, then you already have the correct version of the plug-in installed. If not already installed, the plug-in should automatically install (you may be asked if you want to install Macromedia Flash plug-in. You should select 'yes' if you want to install the plug-in). If the plug-in does not automaticall install, you need to click here or here to go to Macromedia's web site to download and install the Flash Player plugin.

If the poem presentations are jerky and/or seem to behave incorrectly, your computer may be having trouble handling the multimedia processing load (this will only affect older computers). You can alleviate this to some extent by right-clicking (Windows) or clicking (Macintosh) on the poem presentation, and selecting 'Quality->Low' or 'Quality->Medium' from the Flash Player pop-up menu.

Users connected to the Internet via a modem may need to wait a few minutes for the larger poems to download. This is normal. Download progress is indicated by a 'progress bar' that lights up. If you access the complete poem once, then download should be faster the next time you access the poem. Broadband Internet users should experience very little delay.
