Terry has spent a great deal of effort on Wildfire's engine bay and the results are fantastic. The most prominent feature is the high rise manifold and bug catcher scoop that Terry snapped up as a bargain out of a local free-ad paper. |

All but the most necessary wiring has been hidden
from view and the engine bay fairly gleams with the
chrome that has been liberally applied. Underneath all that chrome sits a rebuilt worked 302 V8 with a 650 Holly double pumper carburettor supplying the fuel. The lumpy cam is a Federal "Power Boss". A Gilmer belt drive system keeps the fan turning. The combination works well and the van ran a 14.7 second quater mile at a recent drag meet. |
| The under carriage of the van has not escaped Terry's
attention as the van now rides on lowered Lovells springs
at the front and single leaf rear springs at the rear.
Munroe gas shockies take care of the bumps at all four
corners. A rebuilt 3.7:1 9" LSD now takes the place of the stock Borg Warner unit and feeds the mumbo through to timeless 12 slot rims riding on 265 Goodyear tyres. Cool touches underneath are the chromed sump, tramp rods, drop pipes and powder coated diff. |

Terry and Sandi's XD Sundowner is a true street machine. If you are ever lucky enough to spot Wildfire at a show take a closer look and see if you can spot the the bunny in the moon. Just another one of the features of this very cool PV.
