Starbuck Survey Functions for Excel

This Excel Add-in will add some survey and functions to your Excel spreadsheets:

• HMS..Converts angle in HR to HMS.
• HR....Converts angle in HMS to Radians.
• Brg....Calculates Bearing between two stations. Results is given in HR.
• Bang...Calculates new bearing from previous bearing and measured angle.
• Hd....horizontal distance between two stations.
• dN...calculates delta northing given bearing (in hms) and horizontal distance.
• dE...calculates delta easting given bearing (in hms) and horizontal distance.
• etc..

Installation:

After you have downloaded the file open Excel. Go to Tools..Add-Ins..Browse and point to the StarbuckSurveyFunctions.xla file which should be in your download directory. These User Functions are now available with every spreadsheet that you open.

If the above does not work, open an empty spreadsheet and then drag and drop downloaded file onto it.

Just open downloaded file StarbuckTraverse.xls and modify to suit your situation.
