FUNCTION
Designed for use in medical and dental surgeries, hospitals, laboratories, first aid and nursing posts and tissue culture operations. Two special 15 watt Ultra-Violet fluorescent tubes emit germicidal rays at the wavelength of 253.7 nm to create a sterile environment. Highly reflective lining distributes the rays in a multi-directional pattern to reach all areas inside the cabinet. Germicidal Ultra-Violet radiation at this wavelength is highly effective in the destruction of bacterial, fungal and viral organisms. Independant laboratory tests verify a kill rate of 99.9% of the live organisms within 5 minutes. Copies of test results are available on requests.
IMPORTANT - Normal cleaning and disinfecting procedures should be followed with any used items before placing inside the cabinet for sterile storage. Ideal for the storage of items following Autoclaving.
Operating costs are very economical. Total power consumption is 30 watts.
SAFE
Excellent design and high quality componentry ensures safe and efficient operation of the cabinet. Operator is fully protected from U.V. radiation. Door activated switch ensures that unit will operate only when door is closed.
MAINTENANCE
For best results from cabinet, glass surfaces of tubes should be wiped over with a clean, dry cloth at least once every 3 months to remove any dust deposits that might reduce the effectiveness of their operation. Tubes and starters should be replaced after 12 months use to maintain peak efficiency of cabinet. replacement tubes and starters are available from Starkey's Agents and Distributors or direct from the manufacturers.
WARRANTY
Every Starkey's Medical U.V. Sterile Cabinet is guaranteed against faulty parts and workmanship for a period of 12 months from date of purchase. This warranty does not include product's lamps which may be subject to power surges or stress damage beyond our control. We do guarantee lamps to be in good working order at time of purchase.
