Quikslope is a tool for surveyors for collating, checking, calculating,
and reporting of surveying data for the monitoring of target prisms
in pit walls. Coordinates can be calculated very accurately by using
multiple shots to reference and target prisms.
This is ideally suited to automatic robotic theodolites but any
instrument can be used. Atmospheric corrections are minimised in
QuikSlope by using reference prisms. Distances and vertical angles
are adjusted against a known base line. Bearings are calculated
from this base thus utilising multiple shots instead of basing everything
off one backsight sighting!
The data is stored in a Microsoft Access database thus releasing
the surveyor from maintaining spreadsheets.
All data is accessible either through the tools in Quikslope, or
by using Access directly to manipulate/export data, or using the
export facilities in Quikslope.
