These pictures show the size and location of the temple land. Take note of the quarter acre house block next door (to west). Our land looks bigger and effectively is bigger due to the sidewalks on both the east and south faces.
The temple site is about a one hundred (or less) metres walk across the picturesque Knox Park to the town shopping mall, and a block further to the main street and post office.
We can see that it is only a few blocks distance from the old Brisbane Street temple, thus a comfortable walk from the residence where Srila Gurudeva often stays at Hartigan Street.
Here (at left) we can easily see that the distance from the main street is similar to the length of the main street; an easy stroll for almost anybody.
All in all, this temple embodies the best of both worlds as it is centrally situated, close to all amenities yet amidst lush, green suroundings.
