Temple Construction Site: Proposed Plans.

Please note: T hese drawings are suggestions only and may not be the actual design of the temple building.

The envisioned, three storey temple spans most of the entire quarter acre block and sports two impressive decorative domes. These designs are not dogma in any way, and as newer and more efficient designs come to light the details of the construction plan may alter slightly or even greatly. Yet the plan remains the same: to present Srila Gurudeva with a beautiful vaisnava temple here in Murwillumbah, Australia. At ground level is an open area, the primary function of which is as a carpark. This area will be easily swept and hosed clean.

This is the plan of the top floor wherin we find classrooms for the vaisnava school and administrative office areas. At right > > >

The lower floor is the prasadam hall and kitchens. The wheelchair ramp and the elegant, sweeping stairs provide ample access for everyone and the roomy interior of the temple room (pictured below) is more than sufficient for all but extra large festivals.(we should be that lucky)

In the temple room we find adequate facility for visitors and locals alike, via the provision of a restaurant and a shop.

Outside we find classic, vedic style. The construction is planned to proceed in stages so that the building may be partially utilised while further fundraising is going on.
Whilst it is true that this construction project may span even decades prior to its eventual completion, if we all contribute in whatever way we can, it is possible that paying for land may be finalised and completion of the first stages of building may well be ready to offer to our wonderful Srila Gurudeva within a year or two.

Hare Krishna.
