| Litoria Moorei live around Perth and the south west of Western Australia.
Like most frogs, they are active during the evening when hunting for food
such as crickets, snails, moths and other small invertebrates.

A very young frog just out of the pond. |
During the day they rely on their ability to blend in with the environment. Frogs love to rest on broad leafed plants or in the grasstrees. The frog pictured above is bright lime green in parts. |
| When emerging from the
darker pond environment they are brown and when on a lighter coloured surface,
a beige colour. Frogs can change colour to match their surroundings within a few minutes. |

Adult frogs grow to approximately 10 cm in length after about 2 years. During the cool months they hibernate in the soil and deep leaf litter. As the days warm up they emerge and forage for food. The males begin to call in the spring and summer evenings, making a noise similar to a motorbike changing gears. |
