  The Doctor

And the new Doctor is... Nigel Peever!
.
For years the mysterious traveler known only as "The Doctor" graced television screens across the world. Played by eight different actors, the character has undoubtedly become one of televisions most recognized personas.
.
The Doctors past is indeed shrouded in secrecy, but certain details were revealed over the many years the series ran. The biggest revelation being that The Doctor was a renegade from a god-like race known as The Time Lords.
.
After a few brief encounters, the image of the Time Lords changed somewhat. They became less god like, and more vulnerable in their arrogance. Their number one rule, to observe time and space but never interfere.
.
The Doctor naturally is at odds with his people. Although he's been involved with them from time to time, his opinions and morals are just too different. He has become an alien to his own species.
.
Time Lords have 13 lives. They have the unique ability to regenerate into a totally new body, when the old one is worn out or damaged beyond repair.
.
Our Doctor (played by actor Nigel Peever) is in his ninth body. His basic qualities are like the previous Doctors. He is British, he has a strong desire to do good wherever he can and he loves to travel.

In fact, it is this Doctors desire to travel which brings him into all sorts of situations. Having traveled so far across Time and Space he is extremely willing to travel even further and wider than ever before. Something he wouldn't have liked to risk before.

Nigel Peever has stepped into the shoes, bringing The Doctor alive once more.
