Crew 180, 466 Squadron
Photographs appearing below are from the collection of Basil (Lawrie) Lawrence, the rear gunner from crew 180. Basil was a Flight Sergeant at the time and one of many English crew members who served with 466. The photos were sent to me by Clive and Steven Lawrence, if you wish to contact either person, please use the email contacts below.
The first photo is of the Wellington crew Lawrie flew with. Unfortunately no names are known but the man in the bowler is the Australian pilot. Basil, the rear gunner, is front right in the picture
This photo is of the Halifax crew. Basil is 2nd right back row in this photo.
Thanks to Clive and Steven more photos have arrived. Enjoy.
When I was contacted by Clive, he informed me that his father, Basil, and John Blakeley's grandfather flew on a few missions together. You can visit the page dedicated to Arthur Blakeley by clicking here.
I wish to thank both Clive and Steven Lawrence for allowing me have these photographs on the web and hope they add to the overall value of this site. To contact one of these two, please use the email addresses below. Thanks.
