AIDAN'S DIARY - NOVEMBER 2000

01 November 2000
Thanks once again to Mr. Wong and Dr. Lewis, the surgeons who removed Aidan's tumour on this day last year. The time Aidan spent in theatre lasted a short eternity. Continuing thanks to Dr. Baker and the wonderful staff in Ward 3B at PMH for taking care of Aidan during this year (which has almost drawn to a close).
For Aidan, today was just another day, but for us ... it was something special. After looking at the face of death, things never look quite the same again.
So, here's to Aidan and the family and friends who have helped us this far. With luck and the grace of the gods, treatment will wind up by February/March of 2001 and the road ahead will be less tangled.

Aidan's recent MRI results were good ... nothing nasty lurking in his lurgin according to Mr. Wong, Aidan's neurosurgeon. In the not too distant future we may be speaking with an endocrinologist to discuss growth hormones and other expected abnormalities resulting from the radio and chemo therapies. The little guy has only grown a few centimetres in the past year.
