AIDAN'S DIARY - NOVEMBER 2006
20 November 2006
"Poeta Fit, Non Nascitur" by Lewis Carroll
For first you write a sentence,
And then you chop it small;
Then mix the bits, and sort them out
Just as they chance to fall:
The order of the phrases makes
No difference at all.

The birds singing in the trees today
A story written in your smile ...
We miss you Bobo.

It’s interesting to note that in other types of familial death,
there
is a term that denotes a change in relationship: bereaved spouses
become “widows” or “widowers” and “orphans” denote children who have no
parents. There is, however, no word that reflects the changed
status
from “parent” to “bereaved parent.” It is a change that defies
vocabulary.

29 November 2006
Remember, remember the 29th of November,
The gunpowder, treason and plot,
I see no reason why gunpowder treason,
Should ever be forgot.
(Adaptation of the Gunpowder Plot
nursery rhyme, originally dedicated
to Guy Fawkes)
