I bought this CD for $5 in a bargain bin at JB HiFi. I thought "why the hell not!? It's only $5!".

That, was a very good choice!

Recently I spent $35 on cheap CD's from the same bargain bin. Those were:

• My Insanity - Solar Child
• Silentium - Altum
• Kill The Thrill - 203 Barriers
• Gooseflesh - Chemical Garden
• Maladiction - So Many Lies
• Type O Negative - Life Is Killing Me

Out of those that I bought, I only liked My Insanity, bits of Silentium and one Type O Negative song. The point of all this? Some you win, some you lose. But it's all about chance. If you get a chance to buy something, no matter how important, no matter how irrelevant, take a risk. You'll never know what you'd be missing out on. As for Amulet...

...Amulet has to be one of the best bands I've ever heard of as well. It was the best $5 I've ever spent on a piece of circular plastic!

Before you listen to this album or band, I highly suggest you download the song 'Breaking News' from Amulet's Website to get you in the mood!

When I first heard this album, I didn't like any of the songs. But a 2nd listen, the songs really started to grow on me. Even up 'till today, I still listen to 'Breaking News', 'Profane Wishes' and 'Hidden Track Locomotive'.

The first track, 'Naked Eye' starts off with the usual heavy metal style and minimal screaming. It's a good choice for this album, but it only gets better!

'Facelifts and Alibis' has to be one of my fave songs on this album. It's like one great song after another. This is one highly-recommended song to listen to!

Speaking of highly-recommended songs to listen to, you can't listen to 'facelifts and alibis' without listening to 'Profane Wishes' and 'Hidden Track Locomotive'. They're like 3 of the best songs you'll hear for a long time. Either that or from this album!
