The first time I heard this band, was on a Perth radio show called 'Drastic On Plastic', hosted by RTRFM. Now, this was going way back '99/2000 I think. Anyways, it was a long, LONG time ago.
This was the same time I heard of another band called Kenickie, but more on that on their review!
Linoleum...is different, to say the least.
The first time I heard 'smear' on RTRFM, I loved it. It was different to most songs I was listening to at that time. That would include Pearl Jam's 'VS' and The Offspring's 'Smash' albums. I was leaning more towards punk. Linoleum isn't punk and at the moment, I can't really classify the band, personally. It's just...'different'.
'Smear' and 'On A Tuesday' are both worth listening to. I know! .)
BTW, this is an old band and a really old album so it may be hard to find. If you're lucky, you've definitely found something unique!

There's not a lot of Linoleum albums out there. This is one of their 'better ones' although I haven't heard their previous works (LOL that sounded bias! -ed). Worth checking out as well! |
