As previously mentioned, this was one of the $5 CD's I got at the bargain bins at JB HiFi. Thank god out of 'that bunch' one came out on top.
Originating from Germany, this band's genre is labelled by various. Industry-Metal? Gothic? It's hard to label a band like this, but one thing is certain - They sure are quite unique!
Seriously though, the first thing I discovered while listening to the first song was - Oh My God...the lead singer sounds so much like David Bowie. I swear. I'm not a big fan of David Bowie, but with a David Bowie image in your mind while listening to heavy metal is quite a treat, if not unusual.
Of course, David Bowie would not play music such as this, but it's a nice change.
It's really difficult to picture a band like this, not very famous outside of the originating country while only a certain number of individuals that like it...it's quite sad actually. I WANT people to listen to these bands. I WANT people to hear what they're like 'cause they deserve to be heard!
First off, is 'Monument'. Once you hear this song, you'll know you're in for quite treat.
The next track 'Cosmic Orgasm' will hold you in their dark-gritty and industry-laid hands. And that's not a bad thing. The one thing I love about this song, is that it's immediately infectious. Truly a great song!
'Failed Experiment' may not be for everyone's taste, but I personally love this song as well. As for most people, the next song after will probably snare the listeners once more. 'Supervisor' has to be one of the best songs I've heard of for quite some time. The song is so dark and rewarding, that you will play it again and again without getting a headache!
The following chrous to 'Supervisor' will remain in your mind for days to come!
"I am the eclipse, with covers up your sun. I have authority over you which overwhelm, I am your supervisor."

Every My Insanity fan should have this in their collection. It's definitely one of the unique albums of 2001, even though hardly anyone's heard of them. I Highly regard this album! |
