THREE WORDS

by Mandy Nicholas/David B. Johnson

We were standing in shallow waters
Watching our reflections ebb and flow
Two separate people who would know
Then you turned to me, no reservations
Boy I love you didn't it show
And then my feet lost hold
All my dreams enfold

Chorus:
Three words, all it took
Water taking place of air
Waves crashing, blood pounding
Beating little hammers in the sea of sound

Your words they punctured my floaties
Created the whirlpool in which I drowned
Who would have guessed
The drunken night we first undressed
Buried treasures we had found
You took our hearts and swallowed it down
You took our love and swallowed it down

Chorus:

If we could just recapture that moment
Every time we roar and frown
We could laugh and soar
Above this home we call our own
Giggle and eat between the sheets

Chorus:
