Bolli

It was in April 2001 when I visited my sister in Vienna, that I fell in love with her westie, named Daisy. Westie Breeders in Western Australia are not easy to find, but I managed to get a female puppy in August and we named her Bolli, short for Bollinger.

Living up to her name, she likes Champagne, strawberries and smoked salmon, long sleeps and walks in beautiful weather, in well cared for parks, of course.

Life has not been the same since! What a character! I love the way she is friendly, even-tempered, self-confident and courageous and she definitely has a mind on her own!

Despite being a small dog (she does not think so) she can master quite a few kilometers and is a constant companion in my busy life, a small bundle of energy!

What I like about westies most, is the way, the "seem" to pay attention to you by putting their head to one side, as to be listening intensively, who else in your life would do that?

Bolli loves any visitors and is friendly towards other dogs, no matter what size or breed.

I got Bolli as a companion to get me away from the computer, someone to talk to (besides the pc) and someone who will take me on walks, and I am so glad I did!

I am still learning by reading about westies and hearing stories from westie owners. Please email me if you would like to contribute to this site.
