iiNet Usage Analyser
I created this program because im too damn lazy to check the website all the time, the website doesnt give much analysis of the download stats and i just love programming, i hope you find it at least remotely useful.
Supported platforms: Currently Win 95/98, ME, NT4 SP6a, 2000 & XP
Installation was built on WinXP and I
havent actually tested it on anything other than Windows XP or 2000 so it may
not install correct files on win9x or ME, if it doesnt download the XML 4, dao
3.51 from microsoft and let me know so i can fix it up (of course you could also
get windows xp or 2000 and solve both our problems)
If you get connection timeout issues on windows 2000 (re)install SP2 or 3 that seems to fix it.
A Big thankyou goes to [g]enetix on whirlpool
for making some icons (and making them easy to modify for the animated
bit).
NOTE: Only version 0.1.15 and above are will work properly with the
new plans
as at 20/10/2003
What it does: (Screenshot )
* Retrieves usage information from iiNet's Volume usage page
* Displays previous 30days usage in a grid
* Calculates
- Total peak
- Average peak per day
- Total bliink time
- Average bliink time per day
- Peak quota left
- Bliink time quota left
- Peek quota freed tomorrow
- Bliink time quota freed tomorrow
- Days until unshaped (without downloading anything) (if applicable)
- Days until unshaped/shaped at current average download
* Automatic (timed) and manual update
* Displays IP address as shown on usage page, click on it and it will copy IP to clipboard
* Integration with samurize (www.samurize.com)
* And more
Things left to do:
* What If (IF i download 200meg in peak time what effect will it have)
* Customised icon support
* Support for bliink BIZ+ and SOHO plans (due to difference in bliink time policies and rolling 30days etc)
* Clean up interface and make it relatively pretty
* Posibly include extended history (currently the average downloads are based off last 30days usage, and you cant view any data more than 30 days old)
* Add hour by hour stats (from iiNets hourly
breakdown page, is only updated once a day though)
- Maybe add some analysis of
the hour by hour stats, if you can think of anything on it to calculate let me
know
* Just got this idea from BPA Usage, Network status, at the click of a button you can look at the iiNet network status page from within the program.
* Analyse Trafmeter logs for up to date stats (not sure about this one)
* Have rules (scriptability or plugins ???) that will run under specified conditions like BPA Usage
* Automatic update checker
* Redo config screen, to make it easier to add new options
* Display connection history
If you have any suggestions/questions etc email me, msg Trendy on the VIC DC hub or WhIM Trendy on Whirlpool and i will see what i can do.
