1. Title: Fics should be titled "The [something] Incident".
For example: "The Bathroom Incident", "The Lake Incident", "The Car Incident", "The Food Incident", and so on. It is also acceptable to have titles like "The Incident By The Lake" or "Last Week's Incident", as long as it's got the word "incident". Furthermore, you don't have to worry if two or more people doing the same title, say for example, "The Lake Incident" because I'm sure the story will be different from author to author, yes? (I should hope so!)

2. Length: Fics have to be ONE SHOT.

3. Starting point: Sanzo and Hakkai should start off as mere friends/comrades at the beginning of the fic.

4. Content: An Incident Fic should tell us an incident involving Sanzo and Hakkai, which's happened in the journey which will eventually lead their current relationship to a higher level (e.g from friendship to lovership). The fic doesn't need to include the development of their relationship after the incident (but you can do it if you want to). The story can be fluff, sap, bittersweet, romantic, mild angst, adventurous, action filled and so on.

5. Characterization: All characters should stay IN CHARACTER, as much as possible, please. No Original Character(s). No Marry Sue(s). No weeping male character(s), except in extreme cases and he/they should still be in character when doing so. No Alternate Universe(s), obviously.

6. Plot examples:
Bathroom incident: Sanzo walks in when Hakkai's having a bath (vice versa)
Bed incident: Sanzo's mistaken Hakkai's bed for his (vice versa) Ahaha... unlikely but I can't think of a better example at the moment.
Food incident: Sanzo's got poisoned and Hakkai's taking care of him (vice versa)
Beer incident: Sanzo's got drunk and confessed his undying love for Hakkai (vice versa, although... how to get Hakkai drunk?)
Some incident: Sanzo's got himself into trouble and Hakkai's rescuing him (vice versa)
Et cetera... I'm sure you all have a lot of interesting ideas!

7. Ending: I expect happy endings. It's probably best to leave an open ending (neither sad nor happy). It's your decision.

8. Prizes: This isn't a contest so we don't pick a winner. Everyone who participates will get a personalized banner designed by Olivia-YuyMaxwell especially for this project.
