22. Central Processing
- Clicking to exit Central Processing and transferring to Central Server
Banks is a one way trip.
- Read the Intro: Central Processing as the level
loads.
- You still have the mission Stop Sarge.
- A brief cutscene shows Jack Campbell armed with a BFG 9000 entering the
level. He says "Where are you hiding"? He is after the Sarge as well.
- You can hear sounds of battle in the distance.
- Head forward and around the corner.
- In come 2 Imps (1-2), one teleporting in the office to the left, breaking
glass and the other behind you.
- To the right are 2 Armour Shards (1-2).
- The security door is locked, you'll get to the other side by the door in
the office nearby.
- Enter the small office. There's an Emergency Medical Station (1) with 80
Health on the wall.
- On the computer console is 1 Shotgun (1), 1 Large Shells (1) and 1 Large
Bullets (1).
- Click the "Secure locker access" panel to "Open security locker" to the
right that contains 1 Combat Armour (1).
- Approach Storage Locker 452 labelled "Heavy weapons" - you like the sound
of that. At
Storage Locker 452 enter code 571 and collect a Rocket Launcher (1),
1 Large Rockets (1) and Grenades (1).
- Exit through the door to the Main Entrance Hall [1].
- Kill the Wraith (1) that spawns.
- Go left and trigger 3 Cherubs (1-3).
- At the first door on the left an Imp (3) attacks.
- Enter the door to Office1 - see below.
- To the right see a window into a Main Entrance Hall [2], you'll get there
later.
- Enter the second door on the left to Office2 - see below.
- Go around the corner and kill the Archvile (1) that teleports in front of
you and the Cherub (4) that comes from behind.
- Approach the security door and you are assigned the objective
Obtain Access Codes.
- Now head back the other way. As you pass the door you came into the area
by, an Imp (4) will teleport in to the left.
- There's a door near where the imp teleported. Walk up to it and notice
that the panel is missing. You are assigned the objective
Obtain Replacement Door Panel.
- Move over to the inner office. You can jump and duck into the office. It
contains an Emergency Medical Station (2) with 50 Health on the wall.
There are 3 Armour Shards (3-5) and 1 Small Shells (1) on the floor. The
door is disabled but you will get to the other side another way.
- Exit the out of the inner office and open the CPU Security door to
Security Monitoring [1] - see below.
- This room is devoid of goodies. There's only monitoring equipment.
- Return to Main Entrance Hall [1] - see above.
- Find 2 Armour Shards (6-7) and 1 Ammo Belt (1) on the floor.
- On the rack collect 1 Large Clips (1), 2 Small Plasma Cells (1-2) and 3
Armour Shards (8-10).
- Exit back to Main Entrance Hall [1] - see above.
- Hmm! More gravity defying tiles suspended over lava.
- Hear "Sarge is waiting".
- Cross the tiles and open the door to Security Monitoring [2].
- Open the next door to Security Monitoring [3].
- Kill 2 Imps (5-6) and 7 Trites (1-7) that appear.
- Go down the steps to the right.
- Approach the Security Scanner. You can view 6 locations:
- Entrance Checkpoint
- Main Entrance Hall - a Trite (8) attacks when you try to view this
location. The picture is garbled.
- Lab A Meeting Room - See the CPU Lab A code 627 clearly displayed.
- Lab A Entrance
- SecMon Entrance
- Elevator Access Hall - the picture is garbled.
- Head up the steps toward the armour shards. A Commando Zombie (1)
teleports in the previous room and another Commando Zombie (2) teleports
near the machines in front of you to the left.
- In front of you on the wall is a closed hatchway - you will open it
shortly.
- Collect 7 Armour Shards (11-17) strewn on the floor near the machines.
- Head through into the next room and collect 1 Small Shells (2) on the
floor.
- On the rack take 2 Small Plasma Cells (3-4) and 3 Small Bullets (1-3).
- Now approach the console and click "Open maintenance hatch".
- Head back to the corner with the hatchway. It is now open, so crawl into
a small room.
- Among the body parts find 1 Shotgun (2) and collect
Tony F. Bates's PDA (1). It contains 3 Emails (1-3) and 2 Audio Logs
(1-2). The audio log Lab A Security Door reveals that the door
code to
CPU Lab A is 627.
- Now retrace your steps back to the Main Entrance Hall [1].
- You are attacked by 4 Trites (9-12) emerging from floor panels.
- Head back to the CPU Lab A security door and enter
CPU Lab A code 627. This completes the objective
Obtain Access Codes.
- Enter Lab A Entrance [1].
- To the left past the steam pipe you can see a lava section with items on
floating rocks. You'll get there another way.
- Go right until a cutscene takes over and shows the destruction of the
pathway. You have to carefully rock hop to the other side.
- Move forward and open the next door to Lab A Lower Floor.
- Behind a machine to the left is a Combat Armour (2).
- Go to the right and trigger 3 Cherubs (5-7) just past the elevator on the
right wall.
- Follow the path forward.
- Find 3 Armour Shards (18-20). Collecting them triggers the wall to drop,
revealing an Imp (7) and another 3 Armour Shards (21-23).
- Continue forward to the steam and trigger an Imp (8) behind and 1 Wraith
(2).
- Move forward into Lab A Meeting Room.
- Find 1 Small Shells (3) near an Emergency Medical Station (3) with 30
Health on the right wall.
- On a nearby rack collect 2 Small Plasma Cells (5-6), 1 Small Bullets (4)
and 2 Large Clips (2-3).
- Step up to the computers and trigger 1 Wraith (3) and 2 Cherubs (8-9).
- Collect 1 Large Clips (4) and Charlie D. Haskell's PDA (2). It contains
2 Emails (4-5) and 1 Audio Log (3). The email titled
How have you been? reveals that the code to
Locker 669 is 468.
- Examine the Lab A Info Board. This is the same board you
saw through the Security Scanner earlier.
- Open the door to Lab A Entrance [2] - see below.
- Kill the Imp (9) and Commando Zombie (3) that have spawned.
- Now head back the way you came. Find 3 Armour Shards (24-26) in a newly
opened alcove on the left.
- Head over to the elevator. Kill the 2 Cherubs (10-11) waiting for you.
- Summon the elevator. Enter Elevator 1 - see below.
- Jump the rocks over the lava. A voice says "Sarge will destroy you".
- Collect 1 Ammo Belt (2), 1 Combat Armour (3) and 1 Rocket Launcher (2).
- Return back to the Lab A Meeting Room - see above.
- Select 2-CPU Banks K-T.
- Exit out to Lab A Upper Floors [1].
- Head to the left and take out the Wraith (4).
- To the right of the entrance in an alcove is 1 Small Shells (4).
- Now go to the right. See a displaced floor panel and a cable.
- Pass the cable and trigger an Archvile (2), 1 Cherub (12) and a Wraith
(5).
- You can go either left or right, take the right and commence a circuit.
- Kill another Wraith (6) and then trigger a sequence of 8 Trites (13-20)
when you reach the next corner. They come from small opening in the wall.
- Pass the elevator - you need to complete the circuit of the room first.
- Find 2 Small Clips (1-2) near where a cable goes into the wall.
- Find 1 Combat Armour (4) behind a cardboard box and Grenades (2) nearby.
Collecting the grenades opens a wall in front of you but nothing is
triggered.
- Approach the computers and find 1 Small Health (1) on the left and 1
Large Clips (5) on the right.
- Go back to the elevator and summon it. Enter Elevator 2.
- Select 3-Routing.
- Exit out to Lab A Upper Floors [2].
- Kill the Imp (10) and 2 Cherubs (13-14) that attack.
- To the right find 5 Armour Shards (27-31). You can see down into the
previous area through some breakable glass.
- Head over to where the imp came from and trigger a Commando Zombie (4)
from the next room down the hall to the right.
- Head down toward the next door and an Imp (11) attacks from the computer
consoles on the left.
- Find 3 Small Clips (3-5) on one console and 1 Large Shells (2) on another.
- Open the door to Lab A Upper Floor Offices.
- Edge forward and trigger 2 Imps (12-13) from either side and a Commando
Zombie (5).
- There are large thorns growing out of the floor blocking your direct path.
Go right into office.
- Collect 1 Ammo Belt (3), 2 Small Plasma Cells (7-8) and 2 Small Shells
(5-6) on and near a rack.
- As you near 2 Armour Shards (32-33) on the floor you will trigger 2 Imps
(14-15) and a Cherub (15).
- Find 3 Armour Shards (34-36) nearby.
- On another console is 1 Small Shells (7).
- Follow the path to the next door and enter Lab A Upper Floors [3].
- Follow the path around to the left and kill the Imp (16) that rolls in.
- Over the left railing you can see down into Laba A Upper Floors [1].
- Around to the right is 1 Large Health (1) on a crate.
- At
Storage Locker 669 enter code 468 and collect 1 Combat Armour (5),
1 Grenades (3) and 2 Small Plasma Cells (9-10). This is the last code you
will need in the game - whew!
- The open Locker 009 on the right contains 2 Large Health (2-3) and the
special item DLib Replacement Panel.
- An Imp (17) and 8 Trites (21-28) are triggered from holes around the room
when you collect the items.
- This completes the objective
Obtain Replacement Door Panel.
- Now return all the way back to the Main Entrance Hall [1]. Along the way
you will meet new enemies:
- Lab A Upper Floor Offices: Meet an Archvile (3) at the door and a
Cherub (16) behind you. Past the thorns meet 2 Cherubs (17-18).
- Labs A Upper Floors [2]: 5 Wraiths (7-11) teleport in.
- Labs A Entrance [1]: When jumping the platforms hear "Sarge is
coming for you".
- If you go back to the start of the level at this point you will trigger
a Wraith (12) - Doom 3 has strange enemy triggering rules.
- Head over to the security door with the missing panel and use your DLib
Replacement Panel to repair the door.
- Open the door and enter Main Entrance Hall [2].
- Head around the corner.
- Take the door to Office3 - see below.
- Open the door at the end of the passage to Elevator Access Hall - see
below.
- Walk to the back of the office and trigger a Trite (29) behind you.
- Collect 1 Large Health (4).
- Exit back to Main Entrance Hall [2] - see above.
- Kill the 2 Imps (18-19) that attack.
- To the right you can see the disabled door you saw earlier from the other
side back in the inner office of Main Entrance Hall [1].
- Go left and summon the elevator. Enter Elevator 3.
- You are in a scenic lift, you can watch through the glass as you descend.
- Press Sub1-Main CPU and descend.
- Exit out to Underground.
- Your path to the left is blocked by the evil weed.
- Go right and meet and hear the dying
Jack Campbell. The Sarge now has a BFG 9000, this is not good.
- Hear the Sarge: "I killed that pathetic bodyguard and now I will kill
you".
- Head down toward the bay door.
- Duck into the vent and follow it, collecting 1 Armour Shard (37) along the
way.
- Come out into a small room with 2 Small Shells (8-9), 1 Large Rockets (2),
1 Large Plasma Cells (1), 1 Large Clips (6), 1 Ammo Belt (4), 1 Large
Health (5) and 7 Armour Shards (38-44).
- Exit back to the main room.
- Click the transfer bay access panel and enter the bay door.
- Click to exit Central Processing and transfer to Central Server Banks.
