There are several classes of items in Doom 3. Most of these items are the pick and use right away or kill it now if it's a enemy. Unlike the information items like PDA's, Emails, Audio Logs and Video Disks, most of these items have a direct and immediate effect on the player. The list below indicates the Doom 3 items that are detailed in this section.
- 1. Weapons & Ammunition
- Weapons and ammunition are Doom 3 essentials. This section lists where these items are first found in the game.
- 2. Health & Armour
- Health and armour are quite important. You will take damage in this game, it can't be avoided. This section lists where these items are first found in the game.
- 3. Items & Powerups
- I've separated these into 3 types. The standard items are ones you pick up fairly often. The powerups are the items that last for a short duration but give you special powers during that time. The Special items are unique items that you only find in one place in the entire game.
- 4. Enemies & Bosses
- Don't we love them. From the humble Zombie to lovable Hellknight, bring them on and keep them coming. I've separated this section into the standard enemy and the bosses. This section lists where enemies are first encountered in the game.
- 5. Miscellaneous
- Odd and ends that don't fit anywhere else. Sentry bots, magazines and pictures are listed, where they are first found or in the case of your metal bot buddy, I've listed everywhere you get to buddy up with him.
Below are two tables, one for Weapons and and one for Ammunition. Both tables specify where the specified item is first located in the game.

Sentry bots are a lot of fun. They are a very powerful ally that teams up with you from time to time and destroys all enemies in its path. It is not invincible and can actually bite the dust if you let it try to do all the work. Be a good pal and help him out too.

At various places in Doom 3 you will find a computer screen that reads "POWER OUTAGE: Battery Reserve On. Backup Your Files!". If you click the screen, it reads "Backing Up Files ... Backup Complete" and then the display dies. Just what the heck is the purpose of these things anyway - noone seems to know. Perhaps it was an idea that you could only save at these locations and the idea was scrapped. As they are, they appear to only be eye candy.
