What's New February 2008

05th - MAME 0.122u1-u8, 0.123 Released

MAME 0.123 has been released over at MAMEDev. See the whatsnew.txt for release details. Apologies for the lateness of the information.

There have been 2 CHD changes, 1 CHD has been added to MAME in 0.122u2 and 1 CHD moved:

  1. gtrfrk3m/949jac01.chd (new)
  2. gtfrk3mb/949jaz02.chd (moved from gtfrk3ma)

There are now 219 CHD entries in MAME made up of 185 CHD's and 34 clones (some repeated). The sooners list contains 6 CHD's.

Zsolt Vasvari has removed the CVS bios in MAME 0.122u5. There are now 34 BIOS's in MAME.

Andrew Gardner added a new BIOS galgbios, "Galaxy Games BIOS" in MAME 0.123. We are back to 35 BIOS's in MAME.

I've updated all the CHD Infos: CHD, BIOS, ROM Baddumps, ROM Nodumps. The ROM Baddump + Nodump total is 490 + 1069 = 1559, baddumps up by 16 and no nodumps up by 3 from MAME 0.122. See Tim's Emulation Page. Baddump + Nodump total is 474 + 1066 = 1540

I've rerun my program to generate an updated set of Cunningham tables in my favourite text and HTML formats.

23th - MAME 0.121u1-u4, 0.122 Released

MAME 0.122 has been released over at MAMEDev. See the whatsnew.txt for release details.

I've updated all the CHD Infos: CHD, BIOS, ROM Baddumps, ROM Nodumps. The ROM Baddump + Nodump total is 474 + 1066 = 1540, baddumps up by 1 and no nodumps up by 27 from MAME 0.121. See Tim's Emulation Page.

25th - MAME 0.120u3-u4, 0.121 Released

I've updated all the CHD Infos: CHD, BIOS, ROM Baddumps, ROM Nodumps. The ROM Baddump + Nodump total is 473 + 1039 = 1512, baddumps up by 2 and no change to nodumps from MAME 0.120u2. See Tim's Emulation Page.

4th - MAME 0.120u2 Released

3 CHD's have been added to MAME, the first two being CD-Rom driver updaters, part of the System 573 BIOS:

  1. cr589fw/700b04.chd
  2. cr589fwa/700a04.chd
  3. gtrfrk7m/b17jaa02.chd

There are now 217 CHD entries in MAME made up of 184 CHD's and 33 clones (some repeated). There are 26 CHD nodump's as well. The sooners list contains 6 CHD's.

What's Here

My top personal interests are mathematics, programming, emulation and gaming. If any of those interest you then you may find something worth reading here. I have several other interests including juggling, movies, cooking and nature walks but there is nothing here on those topics at this time.

I've included links at the top of the page to the key pages here. One is a site map with everything linked off it. You should be able to readily navigate to everything I have from them. The site is not updated frequently, and updates are sporadic.
