The Greek round of the WRC is often compared to an Africian cross country event or even the Safari. It is hot, extremely rough and thoroughly gruelling. There is one major difference, however, that makes this event stand out: it is a sprint event, and therefore speeds are much higher than on, say, the Safari. The Acropolis rally is therefore, perhaps, the ultimate test of performance and reliability.
