The snow-covered landscape of the Swedish Rally provided a magical atmosphere for greatest victories. It is a superb display of skill and control over the glistening but treacherously slippery road and track north of Karlstad. The land of ice and snow turned into a land of water and slush by the time the Rally start in February. The unseasonably warm weather created an unpredictable mixture of road surfaces that included fresh snow, melt snow, gravel and even water up to 15 cm deep in place.
