Bonito are probably the best light line sportfish available
in the metro area. These small tuna are powerful fighters and hit hard and
fast.Baits used are live Yellowtail or small herring set just
below the surface. Whole mulies baitcast and slowly retrieved are proven
takers and a trace must be used to avoid bite offs. They will readily take lures and if you
don't succeed at
getting hits after a few casts try a different coloured lure or change the
pattern of your retrieve. Best times are early morning and last thing in the
afternoon.
