This is a close up of the Video/SYSCON Board with the caps removed you can see the residue that is left behind. This is what does the damage and causes most of the faults.

Another Board and more leaking caps. we usually find that upto 60% will be faulty, sometimes you can easily tell by the cap leads as they will be dull and darkened from the electrolyte, or they may read high on the ESR meter.

But a lot of times you will only find out they are faulty when you are heating them up, becuase they give off this fishy yuacky smell, and everyone in the workshop complains...!!
We believe it is better to do ALL the Caps, so that it will not return with other cap faults.
