WAM Executive
Director, Paul Bodlovich commented on the 2006 Festival and
what’s to come in 2007 :
"
It’s been great to see the support for the WAMi Festival
and WA music in general that has been evident over the course
of this year’s WAMi Festival. Media coverage has been
incredible, and audience numbers have been really strong
right throughout the week. And they've been treated to a
whole load of amazing performances which kicked off with
the Flairz at the Fly By Night Club and wound up with Gyroscope
at McCallum Park on the Swan River. All up, it’s been
a pleasure and a privilege to once again be presenting the
cream of WA music in pubs, public places, all ages venues
and through media outlets state and nation-wide. Now that
WAMi 06 is over with, it’s straight back on the horse
though for WAMi 07, which is already looking like being the
most exciting WAMi Festival yet."
