Flotation
WREX Dissolved Air Flotation & Microbubble Flotation Equipment
The Wrex flotation thickening and clarification systems are fitted with the following features:
-
High efficiency countercurrent flotation flow patterns.
-
Separate phase material subject to high intensity 'air lift' at all stages of flotation.
-
Automatic float dewatering systems; e.g. to increase typical oily floats from 2-4 to 5-8 % solids.
-
Solids s.g. separation differential between sludge and float typically 0.2.
-
Separate automated, hydraulically driven, sludge and float removal systems.
-
Optional multiple coagulant and flocculant injection points.
-
Optional gas lift systems with provision for gas, float, sludge and clarified liquor all removed at separate positions.
-
Most designs use no moving parts in separation zones or chamber.
-
Compact high rate separate phase separation plants.
-
Capacities from 1 - 1000 m3/hr.
-
High intensity gas lift systems for heavy solids removal; e.g. for the mining industries.
-
Plants accept a wide range of feed flows without any deterioration in performance.
-
Filtration or other post flotation treatment of clarification systems often not required.
-
Intrinsically safe plants using only pneumatic principles for use in the oil and gas industries.
-
Proprietary air/gas injection systems, to control bubble size & eliminate troublesome large bubble release.
Applications include:
-
Coal wash waters.
-
Oil stripping from refinery oily liquor.
-
Oil stripping from compressor oily water in the oil/gas industry.
-
Copper carbonate flotation.
-
Pulp & paper industries - black liquor effluent treatment.
-
Pulp and paper industries - white liquor clarification.
-
Stripping of metallic inks from printing effluents.
-
Oil and grease flotation systems in the food and beverage industries.
-
Tertiary effluent clarification.
-
Stripping of fine metals and ores from liquor.
