Waterex is committed to producing the finest range of evaporative cooling equipment in the Australian market. We design, manufacture & supply:

Waterex also retrofits, refurbishes and redesigns older towers to bring them up to the state of the art performance. Materials of construction for all or part of the towers may include FRP, protected steel, stainless steels of all types, duplex steels, timber, plastics and composite materials.

Closed Circuit Cooling Towers & Evaporative Condensers
Waterex markets a wide range of closed circuit cooling towers and evaporative condensers. Units include many of the options & features listed below:

Mechanically induced draft, single circulation feed counterflow type with side air entry.

Single casing in G-600 galvanised steel construction or GRP to suit cost and application.

Coils manufactured from 'heavy duty' tube with high-pressure coils tested to 2500kPa under water.

Efficient, water distribution systems with large bore nozzles mounted in PVC pipes.

Spray water circulation pump integral with the tower.

Closed circuit cooling tower capacities up to 470 l/s per unit.

Evaporative condensers up to 13.8MW capacity.

Efficient, triple pass, mono-block, eliminators giving < 0.002% loss of water circulated.

Waterex has supplied field erected cooling towers in both Crossflow and counterflow configurations. Waterex field erected towers include one or more of the following features.
Counterflow Cooling Towers

Single or multicell configurations.

Timber or steel structural materials with concrete including pre-stressed sections as an alternate.

Structural members manufactured from a variety of materials including concrete, steel or timber to suit plant, process and cost needs.

Internal bracing, bolting and shear rings selected from ss, duplex steels, protected or galvanised steel to suit application.

Induced draft towers supplied as standard.

Forced draft towers for acid environments.

Fan cowls typically in FRP with entry and exit velocity recovery parabolic shaped profiles.

Axial flow fans with adjustable blade pitch.

Fan drives are usually via standard helical bevel or planetary speed reducers.

Crossflow Towers

Waterex manufactures the CPM range of cooling towers to suit most commercial and industrial package tower installations. The benefits to the customer which are incorporated within the CPM range of towers include:

For installations in adverse environments Waterex is able to offer a full range of slip stream-filters with pumps and sweep systems to maintain clean cooling tower sumps plus minimal suspended solids in circulation under all working conditions.
Where bio-fouling and/or microbiological control is required, Waterex offers package plants to meet any duty.
