Filtration zone.
-
Collection compartment.
-
Autonomous filtration is achieved solely through the process of media filtration.

Backwash actuated by the loss of head across the filter.
-
Eliminates the need for backwash pumps and valves.
-
Filters operate with a minimal head loss of 1.2-1.5m across the unit.
-
Under the conditions set out above a surface backwash with or without air scour is not required to breakup the surface mat to achieve effective regeneration of the filter bed.
-
In critical situations or where there is a concern about media binding, air scour options are supplied.
-
Double-decker arrangements offered for confined space installations.
-
Pilot plant unit available in Australia.

-
Shells in 304 or 316Lss supplied as standard.
-
Suitable for viscosities up to 10 000 cps.
-
Different bag materials available typically in felted or monofilament mesh.
-
Suitable for liquors at up to 135 or 150 degrees C depending on bag type.
-
Clamp seal, swan neck and swing bolt vessel seal arrangements provided.
Microflo cartridge filters are available with:
-
Casings for the smaller installation in polycarbonate.
-
Shells for the large units in 304 or 316 passivated stainless steel.
