Ingredients

Muntons Yorkshire bitter kit

Brew blend No 20 from Osborne Park

15? G Fuggles hops

10g ? Pride Ringwood (left over from another brew)

Brewing notes

Boil water, add kit plus sugar, boil Pride Ringwood hops 10 mins? Then Fuggles 10 mins?

Make up to 20 L only.

Decanted and bulk primed, 7 oz sugar.  Bottled 15 June

Tasting notes

An excellent beer within a week of bottling.  Malty, creamy, good hop balance, best drunk not completely cold.  Carbonation good, nice head.  Very good body, head has good staying power, reduced volume seems to make a big difference.

July – taste test against Kilkenny.  Kilkenny is creamier with better head from nitrogen widget.  Ours has a better, more complex flavour.  Overall, ours is better.
