Kit method. Stirred fermenter during fermentation and during bottling. Final gravity 1.006. Pitched yest 15 Nov, bottled 20 Nov. Added 50% extra priming sugar. |

Tasting notes |
Nice taste with good ginger bite. Bit sweet, next time don’t put all the sweetener in. Good carbonation, didn’t lose any bottles. Might have been about here we bought a better capper. 13 April, 5 months old. Rolled bottle before pouring to get sediment. Excellent carbonation, real lively schweppervescence on the pour, no head to speak of but very lively in the glass, spicy and gingery on the nose. Refreshing ginger bite, nice cloudy old fashioned ginger beer, slightly sweet on the aftertaste. Not a huge kick in it, maybe 3 to 4% ABV? This seems to be the best ginger beer kit. |
