Title: Kakadu

Medium: Collage/poster painted paper/edicol dye.
Comments: Edicol dye sponging for background. 
Poster paint was used to print various sheets of paper (using different tools to produce textured  effects) 
The students drew an animal outline to use as a pattern piece which they cut out and used in the design of the overall picture. The background was built up using scraps of texture painted paper. Lastly, the background was sponged using edicaol dyes.
Inspired by: Eric Carle exhibition and books and ABC video on Kakadu.

Comments: This piece of art was produced with the help of a computer.  A digital photograph was taken and transferred to Photo Editor.  The Stamp Effect was used to produce this image which was then printed, enlarged, traced and painted.

Title: Artwork in the style of Piet Mondrian
Artist: Room 7      Term 4, 1999

Medium: Paint over computer print paper
Comments: After looking at the work of Piet Mondrian, we designed our own work using tables in MS Word.  We made tables and decided on the colours we would use.  We could only use the primary colours.  We then painted our work and it was all put together to make one painting.

Comments: We had to design patterns using only black, white and grey on sheets of cartridge paper.

Comments: We looked at different Aboriginal dot paintings and the style and medium used.  We then had to make a dot painting using earth colours and cotton buds.
