Title: Somewhere in Our Universe
Artist: various students
Year Level: Pre Primary    Term 3
Medium: Paint, glue and glitter
Comments: Our background was made by roller painting.  It had to be dark like space.  We made spiral swirly shapes by squeezing paint from sauce bottles.  We put the glitter on to make it look like stars.

Title: Somewhere on Planet Earth
Artist: various students
Year Level: Pre Primary       Term 3
Medium: Paint, paper (photocopied picture)
Comments: Roller painting was used for the background. We had great fun flicking white paint from our paint brushes! We had to do this outside. Then we glued the picture we cut out of our planet Earth, onto our background. It looks so real, don't you think?

Title: Fish of the Sea
Artist: Room 18 - Group Work
Year Level: Year 7         Term 3
Medium: Paint
Comments: In groups of six, students were given a sixth of a photocopied picture from a story book.  Using their hand/eye co-ordination skills they had to enlarge the very small picture to an A3 size by drawing free-hand or by creating a grid.  Communication and collaboration were essential for all the pieces to co-ordinate effectively.  Colours were used as closely to the original picture and group members shared their colours to ensure continuity.  Once complete all six pieces were glued to a large sheet of white paper with equal borders around each piece to create a large scale masterpiece.
