Title: Flower Fun
Artist: Sharif
Year Level: Yr 3         Term 4
Medium: Edicol dye/permanent texta
Comments: The children selected one flower from a vase centred in their group.  After folding an A3 piece of paper into 8 squares they had to draw the flower as it was, double its size, place a flower in each corner etc.  Next the pencil sketches were outlined in permanent black marker then the flowers were painted with edicol dye.  Once dried the backgrounds were painted once again in dye.  Sharif created a mirror image by folding his paper in half before using permanent marker.
Inspired by: One flower in a vase of flowers placed on students' desks.
