ART
Hi! In art we have done lots of interesting things. You will see what room 17 has done so far this year. The point of these two art samples is about tinting and shading. These are some examples of the bottle art and the line art that we did in terms 1 and 2. We used the colour red for the line art and to make the colours darker and lighter we used black and white. For the bottle art we used blue and to make the colour lighter and darker we used white and black.

ANZAC DAY:
On the 24th of April the senior choir had an ANZAC ceremony where we sang two songs, Lean On Me in two verses. We learnt about the soldiers and their stories. We also learnt about Alec Campbell. He was in the war against the Turkish soldiers at Gallipoli which was an historical battle. We also wrote a story called Travelling To Gallipoli. Sadly the last surviving ANZAC passed away at 102 years old on the 16th of May. He will always be remembered for the things he did and as our hero.

MUSIC :
Hi! This is the music part of our web page. Music is another very important part of our education. Our music teacher is actually a music specialist. His name is Mr Dietrich. He is a very good music teacher. In music we do lots of interesting things like play instraments and do fun music tests.  At this school we have two choirs, the senior choir, a junior choir and sometimes the choirs go to the Dalefest. We also have a marimba band and we do class room music. Every year the year sevens have a graduation and at the graduation we have a musical . Last year they did a musical about "SUPERMAN" and this year we are doing one about "STARTREK meets STARWARS". And at our assemblies one of the choirs usually sings a song or two.

EXCURSION :
For our first excursion we went to the Woodman Point Water Treatment Plant with Room 18 . We went there on the 22nd of May 2002. We all had a great time and found it really interesting and found out about the processes of primary, secondary and tertiary stages of the waste water system. We found it so interesting that we decided to all do a recount of the fun day. All of the recounts were great and everybody put a lot of effort into it. On that day everybody learned an important lesson, the toilet is not a rubbish bin!

Mr Cuneo has been teaching students for 13 years now and we have all got a feeling that he will be teaching for a lot longer. Mr Cuneo is a very fit man and he loves football. At the moment we're playing inter-school sport but you will have to see how the football is going on the sport page for more information.

WORK SAMPLES :
At Westfield Park Primary School we take our portfolio home every semester (two terms). In our portfolios we have work that we have done in class. We do a test in libary, French and Music that goes in to our portfolios with the results. Most of the work that goes into our portfolio is well presented. Here is some of the work that is going into our portfolio.
