On Wednesdays we do sport. We go to the oval
with Mrs McCahan, Sian and Sam. We go after lunch to practice running,
catching, throwing and playing with the equipment. We play a game
where we get in two groups and stand near coloured cones. There are 3 yellow,
3 white, 3 blue, 3 green and 3 red cones.
The people near the green cones throw the ball
first to the red cone people. Then the red ones throw the ball back.

On Mondays we do science. Mrs McCahan takes
us to Mr Smyth's year 7 room to do science. Some of the big kids
help us.
Some of the big kids pretend to be policemen and
take the our thumbprints.
- first Mr Smyth gives us a glass slider
- we put our thumb on the glass
- then Mr Smyth gives us some special black paint
- we get some of the paint on a brush and brush over the glass slider
- then we take the slider to Mr Smyth and he puts it into a microscope
- we then line up to see our thumbprint by looking through little circles of glass on the microscope
- then we have to wash our hands and go back to our classroom
- we watched Mr Smyth show us water balloons and a gas flame
- made a boat each and saw how many marbles it took to make our boats sink. We were trying to make a boat that didn't sink - it had to float.
On Fridays we go to Library. We go after recess. We borrow a book to take home and read. Mrs Piper reads stories to us. Then we have to draw a picture about the story. When we borrow a book we get a coloured ruler to mark where we took the book from. If we don't want to borrow that book we can put it back in the spot where the ruler is.
Some of our favourite books are:
- books about fairies
- car books
- books about ducks
When we are good in library we get stickers. If we get lots of stickers we get to choose a lolly.
We have to keep our library book in a library bag to keep it safe and clean and also so the book doesn't get lost and we can return it to the Library.
