Children Learn What They Live
If a child lives with criticism,
He learns to condemn.

If a child lives with hostility,
He learns to fight.

If a child lives with ridicule,
He learns to be shy.

If a child lives with shame,
He learns to feel guilty.

If a child lives with tolerance,
He learns to be patient.

If a child lives with encouragement,
He learns confidence.

If a child lives with praise,
He learns to appreciate.

If a child lives with fairness,
He learns justice.

If a child lives with security,
He learns to like himself.

If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
He learns to find love in the world.

Special Sporting Breakfast
Parent reps would like to organize breakfast for the factions. Each faction
will be allocated one morning in Term 3 to participate in an early morning school breakfast.
Give us your opinions on this idea.
Drop them into the P & C Box in the office.

Canteen Corner
Warm up on those cold mornings with a hot milo.  The canteen now sells hot milos before school and at recess for $1.00.
Try out the canteen's new apple corer/peeler. You can buy an apple from
the canteen for 40c or you can bring your own apple to the canteen and
one of our helpful mums will peel/core your apple for free.

Parent/Teacher Choir
You don't have to be a great singer to join our choir; you just need to be
able to have fun. We meet in the music room Wednesday morning
11.00 - 11.30am and Thursday afternoons 3.00 - 3.30 pm.

Family Liaison Officer
Phyllis Angus is our Liaison Officer and Phyllis is at the school to help
all families with most issues.  Come and have a chat with Phyllis any time
or join her at the open Cafe Mornings in PP3 Wednesday and Thursday mornings 8.15 - 9.00 am.
Come and view the wide range of helpful leaflets on display.

You've Earned a Break
Spend a relaxing day out with other parents/care-givers from the school.  Maybe you would like to go on a lunchtime river cruise.  You might enjoy
a visit to the art gallery/museum and then head to Harbour Town for lunch.
Give us your suggestions.  Drop them into the P & C Box in the office.

Uniform Shop
The jazz pants have been very popular.  Size 8 and 10 are now available.
You can purchase your jazz pants for $17.00.  Shop hours are Monday
and Thursday 8.30 - 9.00 am.  If you cannot make these times then please phone April on 0404 0304 95 and arrange a suitable time.

Helping Your Child to Read
Reading is your child's window to the world.  We can never give our brains
too much knowledge.  Starting at an early age, reading is very important.  Reading Rockets has a website with some very helpful hints on encouraging your child to read.
Reading Rockets also offers you 13 great tips on Things Families Can Do;
to help your child read.  Visit their website: Reading Rockets.
Alternatively, the Principal, Cathy O'Dea is only too eager to discuss this website and to share her knowledge on helping your child to become a stronger reader.

We need you!
With your help and support,
we can make your child's schooling experience better.
