Here are some of our birds that live in and around our wetlands:
Blue Southwestern Swamp Hens, Great Egrets, Coots, Magpies, Black-Throated Grebes, Dusky Moorhens, Mountain and Black Ducks, Domestic Geese, Australian Pelicans, White Ibis, Clamorous Reed Warblers, Little Pied Cormorants and Black Swans.
Here are some of our reptiles:
Long Neck Turtle and Tiger Snake.
There are also some amphibians like frogs and arachnids such as spiders.
Last year the council came to our school and cleared a lot of introduced reeds to enable native reeds to make a comeback.
They also planted some native trees and bushes.
People from other schools visit our wetlands for science and environmental things.Now you know how special our wetlands are!

The Egret went off to find some food by itself and was a long distance away, so the photo isn't quite as clear as it could have been.
