Boell Family
John Bowell was born on 20th July 1809, baptised on 13th August 1809 at Enstone (Cleveley), Oxfordshire, England, the son of James Bowell and Hannah. He married Jane Bowne/Boun on 19th September 1834 at St Phillips, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Jane Bowne/Boun was baptised on the 19th July 1807 at St James, Norton, Twycross, Leicestershire, England.
John also had a brother, James, who was baptised on 15th January 1815 at Enstone, Oxfordshire. James Bowell died on 28th June 1867, aged 51 years, from phthisis, and was buried at Enstone on 2nd July 1867. James address at his time of death was Cleveley.
On 31st January 1836 Hannah Bowell, aged 60 years was buried at Enstone.
On 10th March 1849 James Bowell, aged 70 years of Cleveley was buried at Enstone.
Presumably, these are the parents of John and James.
John and Jane (nee Bowne) Boell had the following children:
James Alfred Bowell born 17th January 1835, baptised 9th March 1835 at St Phillips, Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire.
Henry Phillip Boell born 25th November 1836, baptised 8th August 1837 at St Phillips, Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Henry's death is recorded as Harry Philip Bowell, aged 60 years in 1897 at Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire.
Mary Boell born 1839 at Erdington, Warwickshire.
Jonathon Thomas Boell born 8th May 1841, baptised 11th April 1842 at St Phillips, Birmingham, Warwickshire.
Emma Boell born 1843 at Erdington, Warwickshire.
Josiah Boell born 5th May 1846, baptised 13th May 1846 at Aston, Juxta, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Josiah died on 19th May 1846.
Caroline Boell born 13th November 1847 at Birmingham, Warwickshire.
Josiah Boell born 1852 at Birmingham, Warwickshire - died 1911 at Collingwood, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
